About Us.

The Fiat Conference is an annual gathering of Catholic women in Southern California.

Our mission is to encourage women to faithfully live out the
vocation to holiness in community, guided by Our Lord and Our Lady.

Our Origin Story.

Est. 2015

Our inaugural gathering in 2015 was organized by two Catholic bloggers, Kendra Tierney and Micaela Darr, and was originally named the Catholic Women Bloggers Conference of Southern California. We (Kendra and Micaela) recognized the desire of other Catholic women writers to know the love of God more deeply and to share that love with each other, their families, and the world.

It became apparent that year that ALL of us, not just bloggers, are looking for community, so we became the SoCal Catholic Women’s Conference and held conferences under the patronage of Saint Catherine of Siena, and then Saint Joan of Arc.

Finally deciding that Our Blessed Mother Mary is the best patroness of all, since 2018 we have been known as the Fiat Conference, after Mary’s fiat to the Archangel Gabriel, “Let it be done unto me according to thy word.” Each year, we select a unique Marian patroness and theme.

Since 2017, our original founders have added new organizers almost every year, however some have also since moved away. We are a dedicated group of women who, with our diverse talents, seek to build a beautiful ministry for Our Lord!
